Rob specializes in communicating with dogs through timing, body language, leash communication, movement, pressure and release, positive reinforcement, and calm direction. He also reads dogs early: the small shifts in posture, speed, scanning, fixation, and tension that often appear before a walk becomes difficult.
Follow the Leader walks are built around calm, steady leadership in everyday environments. The goal is to help dogs stay connected to the handler, move with more structure, recover better around distractions, and build more predictable walking behavior over time.

Yes. We have significant experience working with reactive dogs, but every dog is different. Dogs with reactivity, aggression concerns, or a bite history require a Walk Assessment before choosing a plan. The assessment helps determine fit, handling needs, safety considerations, and whether Follow the Leader walks are the right next step.
Walks are private. Follow the Leader is built around one-on-one handling, not group dog walking.
The Walk Assessment lasts 60 minutes and costs $59.99. FTL meets the dog, observes the walk, reviews handling and safety needs, and confirms the appropriate next step. The assessment is a standalone paid service.
A standard walk is a private 30-minute structured walk. The dog is guided through calmer movement, leash boundaries, direction changes, appropriate stops, and return-to-structure moments after sniffing, potty breaks, or distractions.
Yes. The goal is not to make the walk rigid. Sniffing and potty time can be included, but the dog is guided back into structure afterward so the walk does not turn into pulling, zigzagging, or fixation.
Walks can still happen in light rain when it is safe and appropriate for the dog. Depending on the weather, the dog, and the walking environment, the walk may be adjusted outdoors or moved to a covered location for structure, movement, potty time, and calm leash work. Severe weather, unsafe conditions, or poor visibility may require assessment and adjustment.
Please notify FTL as early as possible. Eligible walks may be moved to available dates in the same membership service cycle, but replacements are not guaranteed. Changes do not automatically reduce the contracted walk count or create credits or rollover.
Monthly Enrichments are optional paid upgrades to selected walks: Meditation, Distracting Walk, Mentor Pack Walk, and Adventure Hike. Multiple Dog Household is a separate Add-On. Included Owner Coaching Sessions are not paid enrichments.
Boot Camp costs $399.99 and includes 10 private, 30-minute walks over two consecutive weeks (5 per week), plus 3 included 10-minute Owner Coaching sessions. For a new dog, a separate $59.99 Walk Assessment is required first.
With at least 12 hours' notice, you can request a replacement walk in the same service week, subject to FTL availability. Replacements are not guaranteed, and unused walks do not carry over or receive an automatic credit. A walk canceled with less than 12 hours' notice is forfeited unless FTL caused the cancellation. If FTL cancels, we offer a replacement or, if unavailable, your choice of refund or account credit.
FTL can recommend a monthly plan that fits your dog and schedule. You can also request another Boot Camp enrollment if appropriate and space is available. Boot Camp does not automatically renew or convert to a monthly membership. Membership enrollment is optional and arranged separately.
Gentle Leader includes 2 walks per week, Steady Leader includes 3 walks per week, and Pack Leader includes 4 walks per week. Each scheduled walk is private and 30 minutes for the current new-client service version. The total depends on scheduled occurrences within the individual one-month service cycle.
Your plan sets the weekly walking frequency and per-walk rate. The initial and subsequent monthly totals depend on the actual scheduled walks in each one-month service cycle beginning on your Effective Date, not a fixed monthly walk quota.
